@Maverikat ’cause it’s not a kids comic? ’cause everyone has their own plans and schemes that conflict and typically involve ‘Saw in some way? ’cause she’s a non-human vampire which sticks a bulls-eye on her? Idk, I say mostly because Jigsaw (writer) knows just when and how to put a twist into a storyline that both keeps readers on their toes and keeps the comic interesting.
i had a half formed ‘pull out’ joke, an innuendo about eating with girls, and a remark about Nikki being cute and/or being a kitten… but right now the Vicodin seems to be making it hard to form coherent jokes. how do you even write that on possible side effects?
@e_voyager If Mrs. Forte used his bio, (not that she had to) it might be more likely he’s been outed as a non-believer merc who’s just looking for a paycheck. If she DIDN’T use his bio, I worry about the eating establishments there…lol
@Brunhidden “WHAT?” sry, mandatory tribute to such characters, now, if that’s the problem, at least he has a steel….oh wait, that didn’t get replaced…well at least he gets a chance to sit down with some ladies before the food kills him lol, unless… @e_voyager if he’s facing Veled level punishment he could very well be doomed, heavy duty cybernetics are no match for Celeste powers….
@nikolai60 i wouldn’t expect them to be but i was thinking about when she nearly fed that one endless soul to Jason’s dog. i was thinking something like that on a smaller scale.
@e_voyager how do you get ‘ripped out of your body’ on a smaller scale? About the only defense to that is hidden weapons revealed REALLY quickly, which, while Shin has plenty of them, would only work against…well, only those that can’t read minds…which…well…it’s questionable at best as to who can and can’t do so anymore…..
@nikolai60 i would think a skilled Celeste or djinn who was used to manipulate soul would know how to rend one asunder and tear pieces of a living persons soul out of them without taking the whole thing. the process would probably shatter a sterling but talk about vindictive punishments.
imagine that you are forced to watch as a part of your soul, say you arm is pulled out of you body then that piece of your soul is severed and literary shoved down your throat. And if it’s not you soul somebody else whom is not part of the faith and seems to be close to you. it doesn’t have to be real it could simply be and utterly convincing vision forced into your mind. the terror and pain phantom or real would still seem just as real.
The fear on his face combined with the suggestion from previous comics that the group has not shortage of sadistic members makes me think this way.

Of course, it seems that no matter what we think of, Jigsaw always has something completely different planned, not that I can complain, keeps everything interesting ^_^’
@nikolai60 Yeah sorry about that but i’ve seen a lot of best case and worse case scenarios so the things i come up with cane be either sunshine and happy or dark and creepy to the point of wanting to bleach your brain. still you’re right we can guess what jigsaw is about all year but until she tells us we’re in the grasping at straws in the dark. also i got your message today.
I don’t think Shin has much to worry about, really. Guessing from the silhouettes, it looks like those girls are Melody and Binary. Shin could just be apprehensive at getting special treatment from such important individuals. It’ll be interesting to see how/if this ties back to the incident in Little Arael. 🙂
Are those decorations above Gabriel’s eyes intended to make him look more like a happy Kendril (^_^), or are they sealing up a set of eyes to make him look more human? Is that line on his lower lip (thinner than Spirit’s) intended to imitate a Kendril’s split jaw? Make me wonder at the kind of social challenges a hybrid like him might face, even if he IS a Celeste at the top of heap.
@Sulucamas Binary and Melody…woah, that’d explain it alright, these two would probably the highest up anyone he’s ever met, Ministry of Joy Official and none-other-than Areal’s head Scout, heh, anyone’d be ready to panic not knowing what’s gonna happen next…..

I’m impressed by the outlines you noticed. it didn’t occur to me once to think that shin might be talking to people that we’ve seen in comic before now. i noticed the eye’s but shrugged them off as a fashion statement, not really thinking about that kendrel have a literals four eyes on there face. also what made you thinking of the jaw split? i don’t really remember seeing any knedrils unmasked were you can see the mouth / jaw line before.
@e_voyager Kendril can have either 2 or 4 eyes, it depends. As for the jaw split, I direct you to a page in the LR Roleplay booklet that explains that they wear a mask both for breathing reasons and to hide their split jaw which can scare other species. I almost forgot about that myself actually.

@Uncaringmachine: I find that updating regularly and on time is far more valuable than updating on any given day in question.
I think Oglaf also updates on Sundays as well…
