Now I hate to rain on all of the shippers’ parades, but let’s recall one important little fact: Daisy here is a Light Child, and according to the RPG, Light Children can learn to Tone just like Celeste. I also seem to recall reading something somewhere saying that Tone usually requires physical contact (except in the case of especially-powerful Celeste like Veled or Rei). So there’s a good chance that Daisy’s not going to kiss Kurt, but might instead Tone him into doing whatever she wants.
I don’t think anyone is shipping them. And no, Tone needs only a sufficiently hi-fidelity auditory mechanism to function – the White Diamond incident started because the good Doctor could Tone the entire ship through its exceptional PA system.
