@LavaBat Oh, he has the capability alright, but does he have the willingness?

@LavaBat and Starcat5: Welllllll, It all depends on the change your talking about.

Some changes Ace goes through it seems are rather unwillingly if you take into account how dog whistles effect him.

well its already been established that being a shrewd calculating bastard is a big plus in command, but does he really like wearing kimonos that much? i thought he was upset that his nickname stuck

Geisha scares me sometimes. Still I think he deserved that promotion in my opinion

@Starcat5 and Josh.C: Well, I will wager he is not going to be willing to give up his vendetta.

Did Jason suddenly shave between the first and last panels, or am I seeing things again?

(either option is equally possible…it’s 3 am and i’ve been up since about eight the previous morning)

Of all the days to miss the midnight update…

Anyways: I’d say Jason is capable of change, with the major problem being: what kind of change will he make?

@shout nikolai60 Five quarters for a dollar. After all, he’s not exactly the sharpest knife in the rack.. 😉

    Ruh-roh… Jason’s a better shot than Xanatos was. 😐

And who’s Geisha’s Lieutenant? Siege? Spiral? Crosshairs??

@Marci: He could probably start by taking his mask off. 😛

    @Darkewulf: Naw, you aren’t seeing things. 😕

@nikolai60: Figure it’s something greater than his attitude?

So does this mean that Jason is permanently off the executioner’s team? Or that he has to earn his spot back?

@Shad: I think he has just been demoted from Executioner to non-Executioner.

@LavaBat @Shad I don’t think it was that much, to be honest. Jason was the Second in Command before this started, but White needed to slot someone else in while Jason, Jig, and Daisy were MIA. Geisha got promoted to Executioner (and so did Jig’s cybee–wonder how she’s going to react to *that*?) As far as Geisha goes, I’m not sure where people are getting ‘creepy’ from Geisha here–he’s an artiste after all, so wanting a stylish outfit seems normal, there. Interestingly (and perhaps tellingly), Jason doesn’t look particuarly *angry* in the last panel, just unhappy–and if he was angry, he’d probably be nastier to Geisha.

@lavabat it’s possible that he merely lost his place as second in command.

@darkwolf: I think the dark edge on Jason’s jaw in the first panel are actual shadows, not a ‘five o’clock shadow’.

@Vulpis: Ohhh…! I’d totally forgotten about the Second in Command, and thought Geisha was just replacing Team Corvus. I can see it being required that he be an Executioner to take the second seat, though.

@general: I was under the impression that Addy took 2nd, post- Jason going MIA. Depends on the ratings, of course. Slick and Qin also had a shot (given the performance during the next round, and the assassination), but she’s Slick’s captain, so, sort of awkward, and Qin is a vampire, and I doubt Melody could sell it.

Geisha is always fabulous~! Terrifying, but Fabulous!

@Sulucamas Point on Addy–Geisha’s *not8 the SiC. But the impression I got was that they had to have a certain number of *Executioners* in the overall team, so if they get removed in some fashion, someone from the ‘pool’ gets promoted. Though it does make me wonder what the frell the point of the show is, sometimes, as the so-called Executioners are working *with* the ‘prisoners’ and not against them, and are as at-risk as they are.

@Vulpis: Maybe, as long as some one dies in an vent, or, looks to have died (like ‘Saw and Co. on the White Diamond), then no one needs to be “vote off” this show/life, sort of like Survivor? Except, you know, explicitly lethal? And the Executioners are the only 4 that get to choose who dies and who doesn’t, officially? (unofficially, any contestant is free to kill any other contestant, if they like, probably. Murder hasn’t got any consequences, outside the game’s, after all. The only trick is if the game ends when your down to 1, or they have to survive the length of the show, regardless of numbers [making the challenges much harder, if you start off’ing the competition])

@The_Rippy_One: Of course there’s also something to be said about the chain of command.

Like in any battle, leaders have to make choices that possibly will get their men killed. Figure in the act of betrayals *CuffcuffXanadu* and the apparent hiring out the gang as mercenaries for dirty jobs, all the executioners have to do is sit back and watch or execute one for causing problems.

Then again, when their in the same life and death struggles as the other players, They either learn to use what They have effectively or be the last ones to be shot in the back of their heads when they run out of grunts or said grunts turn on them.

In the style of the Shogun’s Executioner? Having read “Lone Wolf And Cub”, this Gorgon would fit right in with the type.
