Oh wow, so that's why Jason's skin looks so much like Rei's... That's one hell of a lineage to be completely unaware of. 8O @Shad: It looks like Jason's mom being a Djinn was somehow involved with him being Djinned, if only in part. Wonder if we'll ever run into his parents.

@eboreg there’s a good chance the she specialized in souls to help her kids not that they were the result of her experiments. given their relative ages it’s entirely possible that she and cipher had them during or shortly after her term it’s a scout

I couldn’t think of anything to say when this page first came out but looking at it now… I’m wondering if Jason’s mom turning into a Djinn is unrelated to Jason’s condition, and it’s the ancestry of Jason’s DAD that caused him to turn into his own pet. We’ve never really heard much about his other parent… I guess it’s possible his mom could have the ancestry for it, too, but we’ve heard nothing to imply that his mom had an alternate form prior to whatever happened involving her and Daisy.

Then again, he does say the first recorded was from Celeste.

In no way does it make it something that could only happen with a Celeste in the mix as it were. So it could very well be when you have two different compatible alien species in the mix, something like what they are can happen.
