The icons are from a WordPress Plugin called “Identicon” that generates various icons based on the email address supplied. It picks a 24-bit color (I have the background set as “transparent”, so it only picks one color), three shapes (out of 17 available) and the orientations/inversions of those shapes. The end result is a pretty effect that reminds me of patchwork quilts. 🙂 Nique’s really stands out of the ones I’ve seen generated so far, just because the shapes on hers really stand out and meld into a larger shape than the usual grid of four makes.

As for Golden’s nose: This is more “stylistic error” than a lack of nostril — mostly just trying to make it so Vidian snouts don’t look like Zillan ones. Some details work better than others, of course.

I’m waiting to see what colour the discs turn according to ranks. Whether it’s Gold/Silver/Borne or something more original.
