Was showering at a friend’s house when I bumped a ceramic cup she was keeping a ceramic mug on a high (Shoulder height for me, and I’m 6’1″) shelf in the tub. It fell, hit the back of my leg hard, and shattered against my Gastrocnemius (Back muscle in the lower leg). There I was, naked, covered in soap, in a tub full of ceramic shards, with several large shards driven deeply into my leg. I stepped out of the tub, put on pants (no underwear, no shirt) and my sandals to walk to the ER. I was faint and dizzy from blood loss (And left a messy blood trail the whole way there) by the time I’d finished walking the block and a half to the ER room, but the doctors patched me up pretty well with stitches.

It’s really lucky my friend’s apartment is a block from the hospital! (The ER is on the opposite side of the hospital from my friend’s apartment, so walked through the hospital to the ER trailing blood behind me)
