@The_Rippy_One: Yeah, probably not him directly. Even though he could afford to make the trip quickly (compared to Jig’s parents), I have a hard time seeing him bothering to show in person unless there was something substantial to gain. Aside from the designs to those Tone speakers, it seems like all he’d get would be a headache. 😛

It’ll be neat if we get to meet someone completely new!

@Sul: Oh gods, that would be a hell of a thing…wait, probably not him directly, since mob bosses are often hit or miss on good diplomacy; maybe an underling though? Or the guy who sold the tech to Candycane?

@Vulpis: Sort of, and the US isn’t a singular example. Can you imagine the hot step N. Korea’s diplomat to China is dancing right now? Or any of Syria’s? I would go so far as to say that there isn’t a country in the world with at least one diplomat in a terrible situation not of their own making. Also, it is good to note that when you talk “leaders,” it isn’t just the top brass – aides, deputies, previous diplomats, previous history, and security-types can all ruffle another country’s feathers pretty easily, and without intention (ignoring the whole “spy” thing). Gods help a diplomat when one of the above is actually belligerent toward the country they are envoy’ing.
