I’m glad Trump will be gone… it’s our “dear” Brazilian president I’m worried about
Bolsonaro (I call him Bozo-naro) is a Trump copycat, because he’s doing many of the things Trump did and some more; lessening the Amazon and Pantanal fires, calling CV-19 “a small flu”, sabbotaging the Justice, Science and Medicine Ministries (by changing with think-alike people), offending other presidents, countries and much more :’C
One of his sons in blatantly involved in corruption and allied with the militia, and because he is a Senator he got this “parliamentary immunity” (this was voted by the Congress years ago and is EVIL)
Bozo also barred the Justice from catching him time and again
The only good thing is, the military won’t ally with him (even if some high-ranked military are now in important positions)

A good 90% of deaths were “preventable”. That’s still 200k+ dead on his head. And 400k isn’t out of the question before his term is finally over.

Again, go watch that John Oliver link I posted in another comment on this thread. “blaming him for Covid existing” and “blaming him for a shitty response to Covid that literally has the US leading the world in infections and deaths” are two very different things.

As a Canadian, holy crap am I glad Trump is gone.
Not that we are even remotely perfect up here, but Trump weighing against any and all attempts to deal with the virus? Screw him. I know 3 people dead from this in different parts of the world, all that had/have poor responses.

I wish I’d posted this earlier! Figuring out the right time for this message was tricky, and I eventually settled for “I needed to post something before E-Day, even if it’s rough as hell.”

It’s tempting to see this pandemic as a “natural disaster” that couldn’t have been prevented… if not for the rest of the world having a far better handle on it and largely being able to look at it as a thing in the rear-view mirror.

If I had seen this before I voted, I might’ve voted for Biden instead of no-one for president. It didn’t even occur to me that Biden winning would give us an actual response to the pandemic, everyone was talking about how he’s “not Trump”, which is… a very low bar to clear, and wasn’t a good enough reason for me to vote for him.
