well…if Jig hadn’t already proven to be a consummate master at making me jump to conclusions, I’d note that the ear might have been caused as charged…

On a different note, I get the feeling White isn’t in any real danger here. Not sure why, just a gut feeling.

As pointed out,
One: a sniper rifle is not required for a point blank assassination… maybe our aerial friend is on protective duty… and not doing a great job of it.
Two: Silk is far too experienced a warrior to be caught with a traitor that close… so I am expecting something else… maybe Xanatos is being tested or Qin’Xu is….
Three: How come nobody has commented yet on Silk’s cute stuffed Anyr bedtime companion?? Seriously folks… Great Star Org Officer (Ex) sleeps with a cute toy…. Got to be a story to this, Rach.

When you think about what the star org does thus far in the comic. You have to wonder if Xanatos really had bad reasons for leaving the org.
Then again, they do protect the sterlings from a supposed zombie attack and limit possible casualties. Thennnnn….they abandon one of their own to Jigsaw.
Maybe Xanatos was to big a jerk for the org. All I can really say for sure is that its suspicious that he’s not in his cell armed and that White Noise’s doll is suspiciously cute for an crusty old man to have.

@Josh.C: I don’t think Xanatos actually wanted to leave the Org. He’s still proud of his association with them, so it could be that the “mutiny” wasn’t his fault.
Adorable plushie aside, he seems to know what happened between White and the Org, so maybe he’s hoping that this will put him back in their good graces. Or maybe Vince blames White for what happened to Cypress.
Or maybe Melody/Celigo just really doesn’t like the lieutenant White chose. We know that Spirit sure doesn’t! If he’s after Qin, a regenerating vampire, that might explain the high caliber.

Looking at that last panel…makes me wonder if Last Resort is the unique at all as a show–that narration puts me into mind of a cross between American Idol, Hell’s Kitchen and…gah, can’t remember the name of the similar show that Donald Trump hosted…just much more violent..
